Blumhouse Productions was founded in 2000 by Jason Blum, but their first horror movie wasn’t until 2009 with Paranormal Activity. The following year they released the first sequel. This began Blum’s decent into horror, releasing 71 more horror movies in the 2010s and another 34 from 2020-2022.
