It all began with the master of suspense with his series, Alfred Hitchcock Presents in 1955. It ran for a good 10 years, during which time, The Twilight Zone came and went. From there we’ve had the likes of Roald Dahl’s Tales of the Unexpected, Hammer House of Horror, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Goosebumps, Masters of Horror, American Horror Story and Inside No. 9.
