(July 6, 1964)
Born Kim Jee-woon in Seoul, South Korea.
Notable works include: The Quiet Family (1998), A Tale of Two Sisters (2003) and I Saw the Devil (2010).
Kim has only directed less than a dozen movies, half of which have garnered praise and awards nominations and wins. He provided segments in both the Asian anthology horror movies, Three (2002), and the sci-fi anthology, Doomsday Book (2012).
Fun fact: Jee-woon personally takes it upon himself to ensure that the DVD releases of his movies include behind the scenes documentary footage and commentary tracks.
