About Me

Hello.

My name is Linsey, and I’m a horror addict. I am an aspiring writer, a caffeine junkie, and an avid TV watcher. I’m a collector (or hoarder, same diff) of Funko Pops!, Halloween (home) decorations, horror DVDs & blu-rays, and most recently, vinyl records. I just bought my first one on 18/1/23: Muse – The Will of the People.

I live in Scotland with my long-term partner (since 2008) and our two cats, Fudge and Suki.

In addition to horror movies, I also like: anime and manga, DC comic books, buying books and not reading them, the occasional video game, nostalgic 90s cartoons, Peanuts, The Moomins, Halloween and Autumn, smooth jazz, and generic comfort shows on Netflix. I’m easily distracted, nocturnal, and full of anxiety, as most people my age are. No, I’m not going to tell you my age; you’re going to have to guess through detective work.

I have been watching horror movies for 30+ years, and according to my Letterboxd (as of January 2023), I have seen over 600 horror movies, with many more on my watchlist. I will feature and review a lot of these here. You will soon discover that I am not that picky when it comes to horror. I’m also largely positive in my opinions and don’t nitpick a movie to death. My brain just switches off automatically, which helps me enjoy a movie because I’m only looking to be entertained as a whole. Chances are, you will disagree with my tastes, and I’m okay with that. To each their own.

So if you’re a fan of horror and are looking for some recommendations or just a more positive opinion of some of your favourite movies of the genre, then you’ve come to the right place.

Note: When it comes to horror, I tend to lump a lot of other genres and subgenres into this category. Thrillers, crime, some action, family movies, as long as they’re horror-adjacent. Please keep this in mind when looking at my content, and please don’t feel the need to correct me if you don’t think a movie is horror. In my opinion, a lot of it can be grouped together. I just want this to be a positive and safe place for everyone.

Thank you.
