With less than 20 movies under his belt, Park is no stranger to praise, awards nominations and wins from the likes of Blue Dragon Film Awards, Cannes, the Saturn Awards and the BAFTAs. His most well known movies; The Vengeance Trilogy (Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (2002), Oldboy (2003) and Lady Vengeance (2005)), Thirst and The Handmaiden have all won awards for best film.
Fun fact: Chan-wook was inspired by Hitchcock’s Vertigo to become a filmmaker.
