(October 8, 1949)
Born Susan Alexandra Weaver in New York City, New York.
Notable works include: Alien (1979), Ghostbusters (1984) and The Cabin in the Woods (2012).
Weaver had her first small movie role at the end of Annie Hall in 1977. Two years later she would star in her most well known performance as Ellen Ripley; a role that she played three more times in the subsequent sequels. Over the years she has dabbled in the romcom and drama genres, but periodically returns to horror and sci-fi.
Fun fact: Apparently Sigourney had frequent nightmares after reading the screenplay for The Village (2004).
