Alien invasions and space exploration are the two main circumstances of most sci-fi horror movies. You get the ocassional “that cure for cancer sure backfired and now the world is full of darkseekers”, or “50 of us just woke up in a room together and now we have to kill each other.” I prefer the whole “lets navigate our way through this colossal cube that’s full of death traps.”
