Born Béla Ferenc Dezső Blaskó in Lugos, Kingdom of Hungary (now Lugoj, Romania).
Notable works include: Dracula (1931), White Zombie (1932), The Black Cat (1934) and Plan 9 from Outer Space (1957).
Lugosi has become the most recognised and iconic Dracula since its release 90+ years ago.
Fun fact: When he changed his surname, the one he chose came from the town he was born in. He just added an “i” at the end.
