Born Peter Wilton Cushing in Kenley, Surrey, England.
Notable works include: The Curse of Frankenstein (1957), Dracula (1958) and The House That Dripped Blood (1971).
With a filmography that consists of over 100 films (nearly 50 of them horror films), Cushing not only worked consistently during his career, but he leaned into his horror icon status. He appeared in all 6 Hammer Frankenstein movies, and 5 of the Hammer Dracula movies. He also starred in 20+ Hammer horrors and 14 Amicus productions.
Fun fact: Both Peter and bestie Christopher Lee turned down the role of Dr. Sam Loomis in Halloween (1978).
