Spain has a vast amount of horror, including co-productions with Italy and other European countries. There have also been numerous English-language Spanish horror movies such as The Others (2001). English-speaking audiences may know the country more for Guillermo del Toro’s horror work. Although he is Mexican, he is also of Spanish descent and has set his most well known works in Spain, with some being centred around the Spanish Civil War.
