Category: M. Night Shyamalan
(August 6, 1970)
Born Manoj Nelliyattu “M. Night” Shyamalan in Mahé, Pondicherry, India.
Notable works include: The Sixth Sense (1999), Signs (2002) and Knock at the Cabin (2023).
Shyamalan has become well known for his twist endings and cameos in his own movies. A lot of his twists have become the subject of criticism and mockery, with audiences feeling that he peaked with The Sixth Sense; it was a hard movie to top.
Fun fact: Apparently, M. Night based The Sixth Sense on an episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark?: The Tale of the Dream Girl (1994).
