(12 November 1929 – 14 September 1982)
Born Grace Patricia Kelly in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Notable works include: Dial M for Murder (1954), Rear Window (1954) and To Catch a Thief (1955).
After appearing in three Hitchcock movies, Kelly retired from acting in 1956 when she married Prince Rainier III of Monaco. She only appeared in 11 movies, yet she still had a significant cultural impact, with both a nomination and a win at the Oscars.
Fun fact: Grace almost came out of retirement to star in Hitchcock’s Marnie (1964), but the people of Monaco disapproved of the character.
